    Smiths Sectric repair

Yes, I know it’s not a watch, but it is a horological question.

Can anyone recommend someone in the UK who works on Sectric clocks? This one was serviced a few years ago but the man who did it has since died. It has stopped working altogether which looks suspiciously like a dead coil. It’s one of the rarer large diameter station size clocks which I believe have a bigger movement to drive the larger hands, so I suspect that parts from one of the regular size Bakelite models won’t fit.

I'd recommend you have a chat with Paul at electric-watches.co.uk.

He's a whizz with electric watches and may be able to help you with your clock.
    Cheers,
    Neil.
