    Possible Scam ongoing?

Not sure if this is the beginning of a scam.

Sold my Seiko Sumo Hulk on Chrono24

Shipping said the parcel was delivered at 9.17am

Buyer advised that he was told it was delivered but he was at home and it definitely wasn’t delivered.

I have asked that he check neighbours and Local shippers first.

I shipped it registered and insured.

    Chrono24 have opened up mediation

Am hoping he does get it.. but even still.

Will open up a case with my shipper but if they say it was delivered, will they pay out?

    DT

Don't couriers generally take a sig, or pics of handover or hiding place, (intended) to prove it was delivered?

I think it will be fine. The money is held in ESCROW.

Hopefully, I have asked him to get in touch with Deutsche Post

Fine for the buyer but possibly not for the seller. If the watch never reached the buyer then the OP won’t receive the money.

If it was registered I would have thought the courier company would have proof of delivery.

Had this several times, both delivered to and from me. All has ended well, various explanations.
I hope your story ends the same.

    Final update.

I found out from Deutsche Post, that they left him a note saying it was ready for collection at his post office.

After me sending him the screenshot of that he found the notification in his post box!

As of this morning, Watch has been found and he has it.

Good news all round albeit worrying for a while.

Glad you got it resolved. Never a nice feeling when you sense it may not go your way!
