watch box for 10 watches - any suggestions?

    Dear all,

Apologies if this has been previously covered.. I am after a leather, 10-watch slot box.. something beautiful and well made.. the budget, up to 200-300 GBP, I wouldn't say no if less, more is also ok for something very nice.

Any suggestions welcome and highly appreciated.

    best regards,
    Evangelos

Not a fan of leather boxes prefer wood You should try Etsy lot of smaller craftsmen that make these at reasonable prices.

    Here is mine

These are pretty nice, but I'd hold out for a sale.

Try Hillwood boxes - been buying them for years and the quality is excellent. They often have some good deals on used boxes on e-bay.

I got one from Amazon after reading some positive reviews. The brand is Rothwell and it was only £60-80. Very good value and really pleased with it. Combined it with the Ikea hack which is definitely worth it for all your straps etc.

I’ve got two of these. The one I bought just before Christmas, from Beaverbrooks, was £139

I have a Dulwich designs model from John Lewis and I’ve been very pleased with it.

Important point: buy a box with more slots than you have watches!

….& make sure it fits in your safe if you have one.

I’ve got three of these that I don’t use for that very reason…

These are 8 and 12 slot boxes but not 10 although meant to be very good. They were recommended on either TZ or TRF few years back.

Im considering an aluminum box for mine, not something ill be looking at so no requirement for something made out of wood or leather.
It will live in the safe until the next watch is required.

So TEMU will be where mine comes from.

I bought a lovely custom made, burr walnut 10 compartment watch box from FishAndFather on Etsy, for about £350. Excellent quality and great service. His standard 10 compartment box only has burr walnut on the top for about £310 - https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/6791...mpartments-and. I paid extra for burr walnut on the sides.

Here is his usual 10 compartment box, which has a drawer as well - very useful for straps, cloths etc:

Another vote for the Wolf Windsor. I have the 10 and the 5 watch versions. Nothing spectacular or unique but they look nice, well built and do the job. As said above, don’t pay full retail if you go for one as they are often discounted. Think I paid £80 for my 10 watch version but that was a while ago.

Forget beautiful and well- made, buy something cheap and ensure your watches are well hidden away. If they’re in a safe hiding place the aesthetics of the box isn’t an issue. Forget the warm feeling, do what’s sensible, not the answer you hoped for but it’s the right one!

Leaving a collection of watches on display for Mr Thief is madness.

Sure there's a great article on Fratello that gives all the details.

I have this one and the quality is excellent. The only slight negative I could give it is that the underside of the base isn’t made from walnut but you never see that.

    I use these. https://images.app.goo.gl/p3jFRuvcqbcjBV39A
Not real leather and only 8 slots I know but ideal for me as they easily fit in the safe.
Only modification I make is some Velcro to hold the flap down when it’s opened and a little arrow on the outside to tell me which way up it should be.
    They’re on fleabay as well.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Bought one of the larger posh display cases, and felt really uncomfortable leaving valuable items packed up and ready for any intruder to pick up and walk off with. Also house insurance demands any valuable ones are in a safe when not being worn. We might never be burgled, but if….,
