Best aftermarket 20mm Jubilee for a Datejust? SORTED thank you.

Hopefully a quick one! I need a 20mm Jubilee, preferably in the UK, and in steel. It needs to fit a Datejust. Should I be looking beyond Strapcode?

    Thank you!

Edit - a member sent me a link to an after-market one from Amazon - when it arrives, I'll report back!

Keep us updated. And if anyone knows of a 19mm version for a 1501 then I'd be interested in a link too!

Could you post the link here for us?

    Sure - here -

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09MYZKX...ils&th=1&psc=1

Shipping time is long, so I'm sure it's coming from China, but I'm not throwing shade there. And 18/19/20mm are available. I'll post ITT when it arrives with my thoughts.

Well, that was a faster delivery than promised.

Re-sixed (simple bent pins that need knocking out) and I'll try to fit it to my F-I-L's watch tomorrow. Will report back on the results!

    *resized, of course.

Popped over to my inlaws to fit the bracelet. Please excuse the disgusting state of the watch. I have spared you the state of the NATO I'd lent him to use while waiting for the repair.

With the springbars supplied, it was an easy enough fit.

The end-pieces are not the tightest fit, but it's acceptable.

And overall, especially for the money, I'm very happy.

I'll get the OEM repaired, sometime.

Won't the movement those links damage the inside of the lugs?

Can you remove the end links and compress them slightly for a better fit? I've done that on many watches when fitting a non-original bracelet.

Adjusting and trimming end pieces is a frustrating job, small brass faced pliers are required to avoid marking the steel. I’ve done a few over the years but its not a job I enjoy and I don't claim to be an expert, it’s a process of trial and error. If I get a reasonably good fit I quit whilst I’m ahead, trying to get a really snug fit can prove elusive. Sometimes the fit is improved by using thicker spring bars.
