    Burns night is the celebration of Robert Burns birthday . It has nothing to do with wearing twee fake highland dress , blackwatch or otherwise.

    Recite some Burns poetry , drink whisky , eat haggis , turnip and mashed potato which is awesome if done well . Ignore invented twee shite like tartan.

    The only thing I find in common is that Burns wrote some of the most beautiful prose ever written, and McGonagall didn't.
