Just got back from a 5 mile run/walk and it was very mild, t shirt weather. Calm in built up areas but blowy in more open spaces. No sign of any rain, but at present no more than a mild windy day.

Cloudy/sunny here, wind 30mph and building, although on a hilltop on the edge of the city.

It's been lovely just across the channel from you aswell, starting to get a bit blustery now though.

Wind picked up and the sun came out on the east coast. Some great waves in Bridlington.

Hitting the high 20 degrees here today. Southern wind, clouds and indeed a strong-ish wind, up to 38 knots near the coast.

I was meant to be on the Isle of Arran tonight, but the ferries have been cancelled. Pfft.

    How's Storm Renata treating you?
Pretty grim announcements for Central Europe ...

    Cheers

We had something that -I think- looked like a tornado yesterday afternoon. It was forecasted. Nothing and no-one was hurt.

From ‘0-100’ in a matter of minutes. From sunny, friendly into tons of wind, thunder, hail for max 10 mins and then it was all over again.

The trees with new green bent like mad! Nothing snapped, still a lot of debris on the ground

Met Renata near Rouen on our drive back to this green and pleasant land.
A proper banshee she was. Howling winds and a solid wall of water for several minutes. You can’t really stop on a motorway (or slowdown too much) as there are always maniacs believing they are driving gods or HGV drivers who need to be on time and will just drive through, so a butt clenching time was had…

Quite big hail a few times yesterday, and gusty. Our mini greenhouse thing has gone for a burton despite being weighted with bricks. Blustery today was going to venture for a walk but not just yet!
