    Seiko "Pogue"

    Just bought this o a friend(watch repairer).
I dont have the bracelet but will probably source the aftermarket....maybe.
So for now I have 4 straps that fit.

In the collective opinion out of those 4......which suits it best!.
Its obviously not a diver so the rubber I think shouldn't be a contender!....

    Thanks.

Agree and did put it on that.
Bought this of a chap I got chatting to about watches as you do.
Literally a 5 min walk from my house!.
    A collector & watch repairer.
So just nipped down to look at his collection & had to have this.He has loads of vintage Seikos and other nice watches. This He serviced too.
A bit greedy with 2 62MAS but wouldn't let me buy one!......but He will,He just doesn't know it yet.
The seed has been sown tho.

3 for me. I would consider putting it on a Uncle Seiko bracelet in the future.

Bracelet is the only option for me, I'm afraid....................

That model was the watch of choice for young guys in British Merchant Navy - visiting Japan in the early '70s......

Probably cost around £30-£35 duty free in Japan at the time.

The Seiko Sports Timer (bullhead) took over the mantle from around 1976.

    Both great watches.

I’m with Blackal on this. Can only be on a bracelet.

I’ve had one new since the 70s and still on the bracelet. Mine was bought on the ferry from France for £39.99 I recall. My dad went nuts I’d spent such an amount on a bloody watch. If only he were alive and knew what goes on my wrist these days.

    The watch looks lovely.

Well done and hope you enjoy it

Love a vintage Seiko. This model definitely needs to be on a bracelet.

I've been looking for a suitable bracelet for my 6138 Jumbo but have had no look so far (apart from some crazy priced items on eBay, listed as original but I have my doubts).

Yeah I think about 38mm, I'm good with watches hovering around 38/40mm
