Thread: The Inevitable Luke Littler Thread

  1. #51
Personally wanting Humphries to win tonight, tbh if he plays like he did last night no darts player lives with him.

Littler’s time will come and if he has a good support team around him then he should do just fine but we’ve seen young uns come through before like Kessler and Kurt and they fizzled out quickly, hopefully not him.

Cool Hand Luke for me, but won’t be too disappointed if The Nuke wins…

If feeling like I wasted my youth now, should have been in the pub chucking arrows.

Absolute dream tournament for the lad, I hope he lifts the trophy now.

I don't 'follow' darts - I'll watch it if it 's on in the pub - but I've been swept along by the Littler story. I live in the NW so he's been on local news too.
So I'll be watching and rooting for him tonight but it's not the end of the world if he loses - he'll have his time.

I'm backing Humphries, because it looks like Littler could do without one more kebab celebration!

I thought I heard the loser tonight got £250,000.

    Looking forward to the final,
It would be good to see Humphries champion, especially after the last few months he's had, this would be the icing on the cake. I had a little punt on him at 3:1 prior to the start.
Littler has time on his side but a win now would be a dream result, good luck to the kid.
I'll be happy to see either win

I've watched the whole tournament via Youtube streams. Not perfect, and they sometimes go down before the end of the match, but between that and following the live scoring on the PDC web site it's been a nice freebie way to follow what has been going on.

Apart from subscribing for The Open coverage via NowTV, I point blank refuse to give Sky any money these days.

Cracking match this. A mix of nervy darts with some superb finishes

Cracking match. Shame Littler couldn't take it to a further set - the finishing and composure from Humphries was a level up

    The Inevitable Luke Littler Thread

Humphries has been the main man since about Sept, he did a 9 darter in the Hungary Open against Chizzy and lost but he was class over the weekend, then went on and won the three main tv majors.

I can’t believe how mentally tough Cool Hand was right there.

Littlers time will come, plus £200k is nice for a 16 year old.…

Quality final, really enjoyed that, both played well.
I wish... maybe enough for a new set of arrows and a kebab

I see Luke Littler has now been added to the Premier League line up, fair play but watching Wayne Mardle and the presenter fawn over Littler is sickening, Luke Humphries must be sat there thinking 'ask me something'.

To be fair, all Humphries talked about in his post-match interview was Littler too. I felt embarrassed watching it.

W/o Littler would Humphries even be on prime(?) TV news?

Yes, he's the world champion and number 1.

I could do this all night, why you commenting on a darts thread then?

Because I couldn’t resist the most obvious of replies

I don’t consider darts a sport, more a game played at the highest level, but watching some highlights and reading about this young man has been entertaining

icymi - he's won his first tournament this weekend, beat Van Gerwen in the Bahrain final. And in the opening leg of his quarterfinal, threw a 9 dart finish.

Good effort for Littler on his PL debut, he should be happy with that.
He doesn't appear to have squandered any winnings on wrist bling, sticking with his Michael kors?
