Out: a set of three Gen 1 Orient Mako USA.

    Out: a 2023 SD43.

Although to be fair the SD43 only went as a part exchange against the one incoming.

    In: Daytona.

So the current score is 14 out and 1 in, so technically I am out for this year because of the incoming, but in my defence will claim that was a one for one type situation.
That's a quality exchange. Love the Daytona!

Thanks, wasn’t a straight exchange, it was the SD43 plus cash.

I'm not surprised. The Daytonas aren't cheap!

Lovely thing though. You pleased with it?

Yes, it’s a great size and the dial is superb. I can see why some say the watch wears small, but I love the curved shape of the case and how low it wears on the wrist.

Compare the above to the SD43 that went the other way.

Oh yeah, that's a lot closer to the wrist. Looks absolutely superb.

Interesting 24 hours......so was going well, 1 in and 1 out, then the Rad which I missed out on comes back on SC, so I just went for it.

Then just as my guilt was building, my LX which has had little or no interest, gets multiple offers...so 2 in and 2 out

And now Steve puts my grail GS on SC....

That was a very keen price for a recent full-Teg example - heading towards
    €3,000 new now!

Early hours of the morning when I can't get to sleep are the most dangerous ones for me. I have fallen off the wagon and ordered one of Karl's Clearance Diver watches - I must now bid this thread a fond farewell o7

<my last purchase was in 2019, so have done well to last this far!>

In all fairness I have had 3 out this year and this is only 1 in does that make this one count? The ones going out totalled around 6k and this one in is £1850 so in theory I should have been up but the money went elsewhere

I do believe you're down on timepieces so I'd let that one go.

Having started the year thinking I really ought to thin out the box, I'm now up three and have just added a WTB for a fourth.

Meanwhile... I'm sniffing around Squale 1521s. Luckily people with models I like seem to think their battered old **** is worth the same big price-rises that the new stuff's suffered from...

I really want one of their pizza party chronos, good thing I hate travelling so the idea of visiting the Geneva Watch Days is enough to put me off from trying to get one.

Nothing bought this year. But many looked at. I just post pictures of watches I want to have - so much cheaper than buying them!

I was doing so well to abstain. For weeks I flipped and flopped over buying a keenly priced Tudor Big Block but I just didn't feel the excitement when I went to commit.

Then I saw something that a) wasn't unreasonably priced, b) was unlike anything else I own and c) will look great on holiday in a few weeks time.(I've even bought a new pool top and shorts to match it).

I won't spoil the surprise here but hope to do a mini review when it turns up, I don't think I've seen one on the forum before.

That is quite the teaser. Interested to find out what it is. And please include the pool top and shorts in the review.

-1 for the year which truly has to be a first. And a genuine -1 not a net -1 .

Down to 3 main watches now and hope to hold at this level for sometime now.

I’m at four right now and it feels a bit of a weird number. Kind of needs to be three or five.

Really not going well. Picked up my second Panerai in the last month. That's now plus 3 for the year thus far, when i really planned to reduce.

What you want to do is avail me of the last two pieces, but only so I can buy one more to complete my trio.

Last December I was confident that 2024 would be a quiet year with (hopefully) just a few watches returned to the wild...

    Oh well...

    INCOMING:

    Depth Charge Diver mk1
    Depth Charge Diver mk2
    SEIKO 'MONSTER' Gen 2
    Traser P66 Type 6 MIL-G
    Traser P99 Q
    G-SHOCK GW-M5610U-1ER
    Skmei cheapo digital
    Squale 1521 50 Atmos Professional

    OUTGOING:

    GWS G10 Chrono
    Citizen Duratect green dial
    Dugena full lume diver
    MWC Depthmaster 1000m
    TAUCHMEISTER 1937 - T0039SE Diver - Yellow Dial
    Casio MRW-200
    Depth Charge Diver mk1
    Traser P66 Type 6 MIL-G
    Skmei cheapo digital
    Armand Nicolet J-09 mk2

So I make that two down on the year, so far... Could be worse...

I've not only fallen off the wagon, but the horses pulling it reared and broke free, the wagon then rolled away, hit a tree stump, overturned, cascaded down a creek, and exploded when it hit the bottom.

Almost a full five months in and I'm still clean.

Just one thing though, just checking before I do something silly: G-Shocks don't count, am I right?

Abandon hope all ye who enter here.

As if it wasn't enough that I'd bought a Squale and a Halios Seaforth earlier this year, I've just spent a not inconsequential sum on a vintage Tudor from a seller in Japan. I'll soon be bending over at HMRC's pleasure when I pay the import fees on it.

    Still, there's always 2025.

Shipped another watch off yesterday and I'm now down to two (keepers). Quite enjoying the reset to be honest.
