PSA - eBay discount code on watches!

Code LAVISH10 knocks 10% off. Would be a nice saving for someone.

Thanks, is that for all watches or just above a certain price?

There is no limit. It is also valid for handbags, wallets and belts too. A good offer!

I should add - a maximum of £500 discount can be applied.

My eBay says any watch above £500 to a maximum of £500 discount. It ends on Monday night. This is both good and bad as I purchased a watch off eBay for less than £500 yesterday so it wouldn't have been included but also means I can't justify another!

Hmmm. Had my eye on something which was priced slightly over what I thought was fair. Got excited about this offer but now the seller just upped his price by 10%.

He might have closed a deal at the price he originally wanted and eBay would have taken the hit. Now I’m definitely out (sour grapes).

Anyone know if it only works on BIN/offer, or can it be applied at the end of a normal bidding auction too?

It can be used on bidding auctions providing the auction ends before the 11th.

Similarly...if you make an offer which gets accepted, can you then apply the voucher when you come to pay or are you stuck paying the full offer price? Can't see anything in the T&C one way or another.

When making the offer there is a section for adding the code, so you can add it there and takes the price off before submitting the offer

Makes this new 2021 Cameron look decent at 11k https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256027354...Bk9SR7bLy8OKYw

who pays the 10% - Presumably eBay and not the seller? Seems odd to up the prices if so.

eBay pay the 10%, they did the same last year as well.

I bought a Montblanc using it last year but can't find anything that tickles my fancy so far.

    36 hrs to go tho

It is a shame I didn’t know about this offer…..would have saved me £185……

I think it’s just greed. The seller is probably thinking a prospective buyer would pay the same as his original price and eBay would top up 10%, rather than him getting no less than his original price and the buyer saving 10%.

Luckily I got outbid on a Pilots Chrono I really don’t need! Hard to pass on the offer though, makes for some great deals.

I had the email about this so it gave me the perfect excuse(!) to buy another watch, so now I'm waiting for my first Grand Seiko to arrive.

Surprised how much the Rolex Deepsea has dropped in price (that said I once sold one for £5k) - two on Ebay with box papers etc and with the 10% offer one of them is <£8k - had I the readies I may be tempted

You might get £500 off a nice watch but you know its only really making up for the £500 you've lost this month on the value of your Rolex! :-)
