    New release: Aquastar Benthos H1

A throwback to a classic! I really like the looks of it.

Some really nice photos in the below article.

I hadn't seen a thread so thought it's worth sharing.

I like it, but I don't see it replacing the Aquadive Poseidon.

That looks fantastic. Like a fool I sold an original.

They are really different watches by the looks of them. Space for both maybe?

I think they've done a decent job with the orange hand. The pricing doesn't seem that crazy all things considered. The original just looked like it meant business a serious tool watch.

The H1 along with the new Certina SuperPH are 2 of my favourite releases/revivals this year.

It's another one from the stable of Rick Marei and for me at least just not different enough, as I said I like it.

Fair enough. I remember previous discussions on Doxa when he was involved with them and let's just say the taste was sour on Doxa at the time. IIRC things have changed for them but can't speak for Aquastar/synchron group as it stands.

Sorry, but for me the whole USP of the Benthos was the central minute single pusher chrono.
Releasing this as a 3 hander misses the point entirely.
It is just another 3-hand dive watch, that looks like one that wasn't that at all.

The styling looks fine, I grant you, but why re-release this model without its signature complication?
They should have done the Glass Star instead.

Apparently a version with the chrono function is in the pipeline.
I will be interested then, my experience (one watch) with the Synchron group has been very positive.

Yeah I might just buy the hype as well...

The reissue of the central chrono version has been released, but at nearly £3k I think I’ll pass.

Yup I was vaguely interested until I saw the price...
