For me that's well worth the money.

That looks a decent spec for the price.

Text will be very small on a 16" WQXGA (2560 x 1600) panel.

Something I found out about gaming laptops, after I bought one, is that the fans are loud and run frequently. Just something to be aware of.

My laptop is 3840 x 2160, and is fine. Scaled for text and apps at 250%

Was going to post similar. Mine's 3840 x 2400 scaled at recommended 300% (13" screen).

Sorted I won't cancel then. I'm sure the size of txt can be made bigger in settings.

No operating system should not be a problem if you have an OS waiting to be loaded up on arrival.
e.g. a windows licenced copy from an old system, or a free version of linux (or dual boot)

That's is an excellent deal, and will beat a lot of desktop systems. I am tempted myself, and I don't even need a high spec gaming computer.

Edit, windows (or any other os) is likely to set the correct text size scaling itself during set up. If not, the desktop logo size and font can be adjusted easily in the preference menu.

I have win 10 on my old PC (upgraded from win7) so my key was for win 7 originally.

Hoping I can format my old PC and then install win 10 on the laptop with my old key. I've heard though Microsoft has stopped free upgrades and the use of old keys so might not work.

The windows 7 product key will install Windows-7 only (not W10).
I have been through the process a few weeks ago and received a W10 product key via the wanted section.

Weirdly, before I made the clean install onto a new SSD - I plugged an old W7/W10 free upgraded HDD from an obsolete HP Compaq laptop into the second hand Dell, and Windows 10 updated the drivers to re-start the old laptop perfectly.
If you can install the old W10 hard drive into the new machine, and then and clone the Windows 10 OS onto the new SSD, you will be able to run everything OK.

Yes someone else mentioned about cloning. I could take the SSD out my PC and get a usb to SATA cable and plug into the laptop.

Just not sure how to clone it onto the SSD in the laptop though.

What are these OEM win 11 licences on eBay all about?

If you can boot up the new laptop on the old Windows 10 drive via the USB adapter lead, you can try to use a cloning program to transfer the existing Windows 10 system onto the new drive.
Balena etcher will clone USB or SD card to USB/SD - so the M2 ssd will need to be identifiable as a spare plug-in (writable) drive.
The destination drive must be a larger size than the source.

Windows may not be able to clone itself while the operating system is in use (Raspberry Pi can, but I don't know about Windows), so a second computer might be required to connect both drives by USB.

I buy from UnitySoft (formerly SoftwareGeeks) https://theunitysoft.com/product-cat...osoft-windows/ - always work and are fully legit afaik. For me it's defintely better than something from eBay.

Will this work, different hardware, required drivers etc?

Better to start with a fresh install IMO even if it does cost a bit.
