Thread: MN elastic strap without bulky under watch section in uk?

MN elastic strap without bulky under watch section in uk?

Fancy trying a MN elastic strap but without the strap material going under the watch and raising its height. Seems like options overseas such as The Watch Steward, Luff or Nick Mankey straps but when you add cost of shipping and possible import charges it comes out at approx $50-70. Any options cheaper especially in the UK? Thx.

TBH, the MN straps are very thin, you can hardly notice the watch sitting high on the wrist.

At that price just buy the official Erika?

Erika's material sits under the watch - not the type I want. Have 2 Erika's already but when you can get something similar from CNS or ebay for £5 I start to wonder where the money's going.

Possibly not obvious from the title, but there's a whole entire thread on this topic in the - you know - strap section of the forum...

I wish strap makers would give this more thought - especially with so many watches being absurdly thick nowadays - every mm saved is worthwhile IMO.

Buy a CNS version and you soon realise where the money is going. Erika’s quality is way above the cheap rubbish you get from CNS etc.

Own both....CNS is spectacular when you compare quality vs price. 90% of the quality vs 10% of the price....

I think CNS are good as are Luft but for a nice watch it has to be an Erikas
They look good years after the others have fallen apart / lost their elastic.
The first one I bought was one of her first very first straps and it looks stonking on my Tudor sub in my opinion.

The MN for fixed bars goes under the head. The one for fixed you are looking for is the Watch Steward "G Series".
    THIN is the new BLACK

Nick Mankey straps were game changers for me. Worth the money IMO.

    +1

Nothing under the watch head as standard rather than as an afterthought. Quality is great too.

Thirded. I've got quite a few and love them, more comfortable than a NATO and without the added height.

Luff g2 straps are brilliant. Coming out at $32 when I’m ordering, so max £40ish with charges?

Just received from Rob. First impressions are excellent quality - the material is supersoft and a big step up from any MN strap(inc Erika's!). Only issue I can see is it's a bit fiddly to put on with 2 metal parts of the strap vying to snap out of your hand to strike the watch head instead of one with a standard MN strap. Any tips?

I found once I had it on it had enough stretch to get on and off without undoing it
