The glass/paper combo dials on these are fascinating. Pleased to see them coming to the UK officially.

Yep, great news! These are arguably the best high end quartz you can buy. Coming to the UK market from Jan so no need to import from Japan.

Yup great news. Always loved their high end quartz watches, which IMO are on par with the best tech from Grand Seiko.

Great news indeed!
Any word on price?
High end quartz must still be a pretty niche market.
I was temporarily excited, but the examples on the Citizen UK website are not great to my eye. Rather spend half the money on a Grand Seiko.
I'd like to have seen this!
Love the older ones with ‘normal’ dials. I can’t get excited by paper dials or snowflake dials.
I believe reggie747 has a fine example or two.
I’m not the market for this anyway, but looking at the models on the UK site I do wonder if they can sell at those prices when the models on offer don’t look much different to much cheaper watches.

Hahaha. Good luck shifting those watches at those prices.
The old chronomaster watches can still be found on the usual Japanese sellers websites for under 2k from what I remember, the paper dial style ones about 2 and a half grand including tax (Or there about) The old ones have the issue of being battery powered if thats a concern the paper dial ones have an eco drive movement. I am not so sure about these paper dial style ones on looking at a few online pictures in the past the old ones to me seemed a lot better.
Looks like they are following Orient in selling some of their higher end stuff to the western market wonder if they will sell at a bit of a discount for a start like the Orient star watches did when they came to our shores?
The Citizen also have the advantage of a perpetual calendar over the Grand Seiko.
