Over 60 tracks added to the playlist so far……good stuff!
It would be good to get 100+ unique contributors on the thread.

I will post the link to the playlist in due course.

I’ve just got home from seeing Gary Numan doing an acoustic set in Hackney at St John’s Church. Amazing venue, intimate sound and reworked acoustic versions of classics.

Maybe I’ll go with “Are friends electric?”

I was cleaning out the garage today so stuck the playlist on and managed to get through 48 songs….still plenty to go but there’s always room for more.

Link to the playlist added to my opening post and will add more songs as people post them.

Excellent, thank you, I'll have a listen now. Plenty of tracks and artists which I am unfamiliar with.

The meeting of traditional Indian instruments and rap metal must be an outlier on this thread/playlist.

Does anyone fancy making up an Amazon version of the playlist and keeping it up to date as new songs are added?

I'll give you something a little different. For the past year I've become a massive fan of BABYMETAL, a Japanese kawaii metal band. I've seen them live in Leeds in April and am going again to see them in Wolverhampton in November. They did two acoustic songs for a Japanese YouTube channel called First Take. This is one of them, Monochrome, from their latest album The Other One

    Cover Me Up, same artist.

Song has just been covered by Morgan Wallen and gone into the stratosphere, but this original (and tragically slept-on) version is unsurpassed.

This really is great, thanks for suggesting it village. I’ve dipped into the list a couple of times now - great and eclectic mix, with very few duffers.

I'm WFH today - so I've run this through the SongShift app (to convert Spotify Playlist to Apple Music)

Much of this was off my radar - but I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far !

It’s occurred that I should probably add a song to the playlist myself!

‘Hell’ by The Bonnevilles from the superb album “Folk Art and the death of electric Jesus”
