    Speedmaster price graph.

Does anyone have or know of a price graph showing the historic price rise of the Omega Moonwatch in UK £s.

    Thanks.

Does that not depend on when he bought it?

It does indeed, but he didn't allude to that fact.

I remember seeing the Tin Tin in shop windows at RRP, as they were at the time.. sort of regret not getting one when I had the chance as they've done pretty well in terms of value.

Well in Paul. Its always nice to get a full and complete set.

I think we all have our regrets regarding Speedmasters. I remember trying on an Alaska project at Blowers in Hull, Must be in 2009/10. £2500 complete set. I loved the accessories and the red anodised extra case. Went for a Deepsea after much deliberating for £4500.

1995 - new from Goldsmiths for £1250 (full RRP at the time). Decided to buy an Oris chronograph instead……..

I wanted to know if the Speedy was infact £1500 in 2004.When I bought it the tag confirmed the original buyer paid that.

At the time you made the right choice because you liked it,only later once you know what you now know do You/We realise what would have been the better choice!.

Thanks for your input. The post was to ascertain the price for a watch I was offered and subsequently did buy that was bought in 2004.The seller "after" I posted sent me the pic of the tag showing the £1,500.
So all is good & I now have a Speedy.

At the time the Hesalite speedmaster was £1500, you could often find a Rolex 14060M in the same window. Also £1500. And you didn’t need to look far to find them, nearly every AD had those models in the window at that price for what I’m guessing was at least 5 years,
Which makes the current availability/prices seem very odd to those of us who remember it!

No worries, was good research on your part to find that. I still have the price list, the difference from today is eye opening.

Bought mine new in 1993 and it was £980. I'm constantly surprised when I see the new price each time Omega has a price rise.

Quite a chunk of change in the price comparing todays prices!.
    A bracelet restyle,sapphire and a different movement....
I know its personal taste and with too many different variants to consider, which is the most favoured.
For me its the hesalite 861/1861,and probably due to the price of the newer models & the prices pre owned taking them beyond the point Im happy paying.

I bought my first Moonwatch, brand new from a 'grey' seller in 2004, for £860. He was Glasgow based and selling on eBay, with a number of Omega Speedmasters and Rolex Submariners. After a bit of haggling I got it for £860 - his asking price was £900+. The watch was complete with the warranty card stamped by an Italian AD and is likely still owned by a forum member - the 4 in the hand written date looks like a lower case 'h'.
At the same time, early 2004, a local AD had a Snoopy for sale and was offering a decent discount.

As an aside, also in 2004, I bought my 2254:50, unworn and only a couple of months old for £620 on this forum. It had languished on the SC for a while and I ended up buying it in a F2F with the seller who had bought it as an insurance replacement. Times have certainly changed. I still have the 2254:50 and, probably 30 Speedmasters later, currently have 3 Moonwatches. I'd happily buy every one of them back again if anyone has buyers remorse LOL.

Saw this in the window of Bradleys in Harrogate today.Same year as the Speedy I bought.
    Only difference was the price.

I wouldn't think a great deal on here.

I wear my late father's 1973 Speedmaster from time to time. I have no idea what he paid for it back then. He didn't want to spend money, so it must have been a good offer!

Just checked my paperwork and I bought my 3570 in august 2015 for £2160 (slight discount). Didn’t realise it was the icon that Omega tell us it is at the time. Still have it and still enjoy looking at it, although don’t wear it that often.
