Zenith pocket watch King of the Air co 1919

    Hi all

Been sorting a few things lately and came across an old Zenith pocket watch in my projects box, which I would have picked up at a boot sale years ago.

An interesting inscription on the back. Anyone know anything about the King of the Air co?

    Cheers

A couple more pics. Movement and dial. Note, unfortunately missing the front cover - was a hunter or half hunter when new.

Very interesting is it up and running?

Has the inscription date not been finished or has it faded?

It runs although needs work as the mainspring slips.

Was either a hunter or half hunter case, but the outer cover is unfortunately missing. I’m sure a donor could be obtained if I put my mind to it.

I think the inscription is just 19 for 1919.

    Cheers

King of the Air was a nickname for the Sopwith Camel, which would fit the period.
