You beat me to it I was just starting a thread.

Yes it was down, strange how empty that made life feel.

Is that sad on my part?

And we're back.... I was getting very twitchy.

As the failing URL was an install PHP page, I'm going to assume there was a PHP failure of some sort.

I can only assume that my Rolex stats (on another thread) broke the server. Thank goodness it's back, my manager was starting to be impressed.

I've reviewed the logs and the issue was MySQL being killed yesterday due to the server being out of memory. Thi9s resulted in several database tables crashing
    Restarting SQL fixed it.

Just echoing the scary times and, importantly, the grateful thanks to Eddie for keeping things running.

I had paid for a watch from SC in the morning and then everything went dark.

Lesson learnt on my part to request contact details from seller before I pay up next time!

    So what just happened?

Imagine having been mid purchase on an item & not having exchanged phone numbers!

    Glad we are all back!

Feel I need to play catchup as not been on, but then neither has anyone else.

I was fearing the end of TZ when it was down…got me wondering, where would most of us congregate if it did go? (Hopefully around for another 12 years I’ve been a member).
Had me panicked that’s for sure!

I dare say a few employers saw their productivity rise when workers actually do some work.

This is true but you’re describing about 60% of middle and senior management.

That if true, is actually truly sad. You can't come here bleating that the country is in a mess when you spend most of your time skiving.

Didn't realise it was off until a tz member asked me if mine was logging in.

Doing more important things to have bothered and or noticed.

You should be on the streets protesting against employees who smoke or worse yet the ones who go to the gym on their lunch and then eat their lunch at the desk while working once they’re back on the clock.

Personally I would protest people who microwave fish in the office. Thats unforgivable IMO.

Similarly, I've far too many important things to do to read this thread, let alone contribute to it

I mostly lurk here but have been at it for several years, and like others was a bit rattled by thought that the TZ-UK may have come to an end. I am a Yank to boot, so being a member is a special privilege.

This has reminded me to chip in to the fundraiser. I believe this is the link, if you’d like to join me:

    https://www.justgiving.com/team/tz-uk

    Thanks, Eddie.
