Looks lovely but expensive for what it is.
It's been rumoured but I see it is now on the Seiko website as a November launch:
SBEJ015 (Japanese model reference) I think the overseas ref is SPB411J
It came after the GMT Master but three years before the Explorer 2, which I often see Seiko accused of homaging in their recent designs.
Rotating bezel, box sapphire (anti reflective coating on the underside). Dimensions: 12.6mm x 38.5mm. Movement is the 6R54
Limited edition of 4000, of which 500 for Japan. It's in the Prospex range, but with 100m WR and no X, not even on the back
Oh yes, list price is ¥209,000 (about £1,150) including tax
Looks good. Very faithful to the original right down to the bracelet.
I would always prefer a traveller GMT to an office GMT, and this is the latter. Seiko used to only offer traveller GMT watches, now they seem to favour releases with the office type, a less useful complication to my mind
Good looking watch, and I really do like that bracelet.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
An original 6117-8000 for reference:
Note the re-issue includes the shorter Seiko logo
Feels wrong to be an office gmt on this watch. Is this the same movement as per the Seiko 5 gmt? And though no X, still feels expensive for what it is.
