Can you tell me anything about this clock please?

My sister in law was given this by her uncle and us interested to know anything she can about it . No box or papers but it’s certainly an interesting and funky thing. I doubt it’s worth much though?

It's not remotely good news I'm afraid.

The movement is a Chinese 'standard' movement which, in the West, is usually found in the lowest quality fakes:

    Sorry.

Yep. I have a desk clock with that same movement.
    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

    So it’s worth 20-30 quid?

If you paint Rolex on it and tell everyone that some uncle left it to you, then price might go up to couple hundreds :)

Ok, I will tell my sister in law … although as a highly educated chemist I doubt she will believe me!
So it’s 20-30 quid then I’m guessing… personally I think it’s pretty funky regardless of value.

Ask her to Google pocket watch on Ali Express.
I have had a few of these £8 to £10 pocket watch cheapies with the skeleton movement. They fail after 6-12 months and need a movement swap for something more reliable.
I am surprised it is still working.
