Thread: Glashutte Original conundrum

Anyway, not long to wait all being well!
Glad you went for this and not the green. I know the back story to this acquisition so pleased it is all sorted. First dibs when you sell !!!

Lolz. I have got it here, thankfully, but unexpectedly the strap is too long (despite straps of the same length on other 42mm watches fitting me nicely). I’m waiting to hear whether GO can provide a shorter version of the strap, failing which I’ll order a bespoke one from Camille Fournet.

I didn’t feel that great when I got home today, but I’ll take a shot or two in the morning.

So how much have you spaffed up for a mediocre looking watch exactly?

The name aside, there’s nowt special about them to be honest.

Just buy one of eddies and stop being a cockwomble about it.
At least you can see the time instantly with them, if you can remember how to read a watch face to tell the time that is.

If not, stick with your I watch and wanky photos of something you’ll never wear.

Here's a quick one from my iPhone. Over the weekend I'll try to find some time to take some proper ones, and put a bit of a write-up together.

Oh, and I've solved the strap size issue. I tried it on a pin buckle and it fits perfectly, so I'll just order an OEM one from GO.

Hey Tony, I apologise unreservedly for my inane ramblings and comments. Life is too short for petty squabbling and silly comments aimed at someone you don’t know.

    Enjoy your watch mate

I will say that it ain’t my bag though, but I hope you get many many hours of pleasure wearing it.

Apology unnecessary, and thanks very much. I fully appreciate that this isn't a mainstream watch, which is one of the reasons I love it.

Tony, only just noticed you had this thread running after I put a WTB up! Looks bloody awesome, my favourite non-mainstream watch. Enjoy!

That's a coincidence! Good luck sourcing one, and don't rule out the previous (40mm) model which in some ways I prefer.

Whilst I’d be very happy with the 42mm like yours, I’d love to own the 40mm.

Hope you enjoy wearing it Tony (and Kerry is in the wings in case you don’t!)

I haven’t even begun to do it justice tbh, Dave. This is destined to be my watch for “best”, and most definitely won’t be going anywhere

Thanks Jocke, and yes it is. Anyway, I’m planning to get the lights out tomorrow, assuming I feel well enough. Very conscious that I’ve not done it justice with my phone shots.

Still not managed to set up the lights, but absolutely loving this watch. It’s everything I’d hoped and more.
