New Art Deco watches from Alpina

Now Alpina watches aren’t usually my thing, but these look fantastic and are now available at a relative bargain price of £1295 with an easy 10% off from the usual online retailers.

The earlier and very expensive release had silver cases and NOS movements, but these are more conventional steel with a modern Sellita. I’ve always fancied something art deco but couldn’t bond with the Reverso. This might just be worth a punt.

The lighter face - is fantastic, for me.

Sadly I am more often to be seen in tracky bottoms and a T-shirt these days..............

Lighter face appeals the most too.

I’m not exactly sartorial elegance personified, although that doesn’t stop me wanting one!

    I really like them.

But, as others have said - im not sure it would "go" with my usual attire.

I posted about these in the new releases thread, a few days ago. I also really like them and the price is good too but the profile looks like it might be a little thick for a dress watch. Hard to say until they’re in hand.

Like others, I can’t imagine wearing one much, though at the price it might scratch an itch I have for a Cartier I’d also never wear!

Really nice looking watch, but yet again I wish I had the elegance to wear one.

Sorry for the duplication. As you said, thickness may be its Achilles heel.

Black dial would be the pick for me Dave. Thanks for flagging these 👍

I like the light dial but, like others, would be unlikely to wear it much, if at all.

I do wish Eddie had gone ahead with his Adelphi models though.

They look very nice but I am partial to a bit of Deco.
