Smiley Friday. Having been to the Tudor Boutique in Bristol with this ETA on I realised how nice this was compared to the modern versions however small the differences are. I think I might actually keep it. Have a good weekend TZers and enjoy your watches:)

I would not take the newer 42mm with in house over this model. It’s the smaller visual details that count with these.

Right. After last week's time travel I should have the right day...

    Also, my 1000th post!

Relaxing with the now discontinued Sinn 903. With one of Broad Town Brewery's finest.

A new version is on the way with a friction bezel. Looking forward to seeing it.

How they wear was the decider for me. The new version although only 1mm thicker doesn’t wear as close to the wrist as the smiley version. Yes the bezel is nice and the clasp is nicer but I just preferred the older smiley aesthetics and wearability. Each to their own:)

Yes, I'd read that too. Probably a better solution. I do like the 903 though.

I have the best of both worlds
A vintage one and the version with the bezel crown, I prefer the vintage.

Agreed. I like the rose and smiley text, the modern ones are a bit sterile. The fact not many were made is the icing on the cake.

Better late than never, just finished servicing this today after refinishing the case, bracelet and bezel recently.

No doubt I`m in a minority on this forum but I much prefer this to yet another black dialled diver or chronograph.

Getting the case apart and refinishing the bezel was a challenge, like most jobs once you work out how to do it it's not that hard. I spent far more time thinking about this job than actually doing it!

Somewhat inevitably I suspect I'll end up "upgrading" or owning both...as is this hobby.

Will be interesting to see how much the price changes between old and new.
