Quick research question for the forum

My best mate is in the process of setting up a small business selling car parts, he's doing rather well until he's got to the name for the business.
He likes a name with “little” in the title, i wont stick up the entire name as dont want to be accused of trying free advertising.
My feeling is that the word little suggests you may be little and perhaps people may click past you.
What’s the collective thought…is the “little” suggesting something or is it just another name?
    Sorry for the odd question.

Hard to comment without knowing the full name. If it’s niche business then being seen as small may indicate a better fit with the niche and thus be a good name.

Itll be something like the little off-road shop or the little off-road store, the little 4x4 store etc

Always better to give an impression of size

I think he’s seen Richard Hammond’s “ smallest cog” business model. People laughed at Hammonds choice in the beginning, so I wouldnt select little in a title of a business unless it conveyed a tangible edge that others have missed.

'Little' just gives an impression of being a small company. Nothing else really. Even if it's referring to little/small parts. I can remember quite a few companies selling small parts and consumables in the motor trade, but none chose to have 'little' in their names.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I bought my last car from “Little Gems” in Andover. In context for car sales that sounds really good.

But that wasn’t a deal breaker

Personally I would go with something with more of a positive connotation; maybe swap out Little for Supreme or something similar to invoke a more reassuring emotion, also as others have said, something relating to size.

If I were to Google for car parts online, I would not search for little.
Is he selling models and toy cars, or radio control car parts?

You wouldn’t search for ‘Euro’ or ‘Online’ but could hopefully still find Euro Car Parts or Online Car Parts.
