I picked up a Blancpain Leman chrono a few months ago.
Watch only with no papers and in absolutely lovely condition.
I emailed Blancpain with the serial number and they got back to be and confirmed it's recent service history and even had a replacement auto bridge 😁
Then to top off that additional info, they confirmed that they were happy to offer a free of charge authentication upon inspection of the watch.
Were I in the UK, it'd be a service I'd avail of asap.
They were great with me... however... from here in the UK they said that they WILL have to send to HQ for authentication... so it would still be going to Switzerland:

Congratulations on your purchase.
We do not have boxes from that era I'm afraid, we only have current model boxes which we are happy to show you when you visit our boutique.
In regards to authentication paperwork, we would need to send the watch back to HQ for them to authenticate and produce a letter.
Do let us know if/when you are able to visit and we can discuss in more detail then.
Best regards,

And your Blancpain team

I am still tempted... I didn't ask if there was a fee though.
I am however keeping it... may be something I would consider.
(This was for a piece from the early 2000's too... and they were still game to authenticate it).
Glad that you have had the same treatment from them.

I think that's excellent service. In fairness I find service within the broader Swatch Group generally good. Very different to the LVMH group and Zenith. In my experience they offer terrible service.
