I really like there but want whoever designed the date window to go to Specsavers
I like the dial on that, but prefer the darker tones of the 055.

Have to agree, the date window ruins the watch, idiots!
Great to see a cheaper version of the SLA055. I wasn’t at all fussed about the ever brilliant steel so that’s money we’ll saved.
In contrast to others, I’m not a fan of the dial though.
Near miss.
Re 6L movement supposedly being inferior and confusing it with 6R
Looking at the Seiko Boutique the King Seikos with 6R movement are around £1700 in UK and the ones with 6L movement are £2900 indicating the price differential between 6R and 6L.
Reminds me of a faded old Levi shirt, the date ruins it.
Would like to see that with a darker dial and no date window. Bracelet should be all brushed but overall I like the direction they're going with it.
Back to the new 62Mas recreation, I see WOS group still taking pre orders, they must have got a load of the 29, which makes sense as it’s the dealer to be in.
Beaverbrooks are getting 3. I reckon Goldsmiths will have at least 10.
They were quite late opening for pre order.
Chisholm Hunter had 2. I assume Seiko Boutique would have got 10
order it from WOS group and they are doing a £250 gift card too.
It does, basically it’s added to your basket as an extra, it’s a seiko after all ;)
Yeah I saw that, damn as I'd already ordered from Chisholm Hunter on the caveat of no refunds (I paid 50% deposit). WOS also offer interest free credit on it which with current inflation is probably akin to a 20% discount over 4 years!
I am dubious though that WOS can fulfil these- still shows as available to pre order on their site 4 days later and that doesn't seem feasible given the demand for the piece and with only 29 in the UK. Maybe they've cocked up and will end up disappointing some people

Spoke to someone at Mappin & Webb yesterday (same company as Goldsmiths, WoS etc) and it seems they aren't limiting pre orders on this watch so I'd say if you pre ordered after 10am on original day of release then you aren't getting one most likely.
I was able to add 15 to my shopping basket on the Goldsmiths site and proceed to checkout so it seems that some potential buyers are going to be disappointed. Did the same thing on the Mappin & Webb site so I could have pre-ordered 30 and only 29 will be coming to the UK! Poor show from Goldsmiths/WoS group.

Definitely a disconnect between the team who publish watches for sale and the team who bought in 29. The functionality is no doubt there which is a bit slack.
I flagged it with the manager of my local Mappin & Webb this afternoon that WoS group was still allowing pre orders now and that's a statistical impossibility. He said he'd check on it - he did seem to genuinely want to find out rather than just pay lip service so let's see.
I’m not sure about the WoS web site specifically but Goldsmiths web site didn’t have the watch up to pre-order on the day of release when I searched for it.

€3700 for that, have they been smoking crack?
It seems Beaverbrooks are now going to be receiving more stock if anyone is still after one.
looks like GS/WOS have taken the pre order off their sites (or at least its moved and I can't find it).
Maybe they sold out of their allocation in the end.
Don’t be so sure, seems more releasing later in the year so the ‘all sold out’ isn’t so true.
Plus I’ve seen with GS that they see where they are selling and re distribute stock, so WOS might get more of the next batch.
Is this more stock to sell or is it stock to fulfil existing orders?
I am really looking forward to getting my hands on one.
6 months for the second batch seems a very long wait!!
To sell as they have been allocated more stock. This is the message received from Beaverbrooks.
We have just been made aware that we are going to receive a further allocation of this timepiece.
The numbers are very limited and so if you did want to proceed I would recommend acting fast.
The watches are set to arrive in January 2024
Seiko probably realised that 29 for the UK was ridiculous.
Seems these are already finding their way to owners ahead of schedule

Why do Seiko always do this?! I know it's theoretically supposed to go over a wet suit but who ever does that? The metal keeper looks like it will be painful too.
If the lug width is actually 18.7mm then a Joseph Bonnie tropic (c.19.5mm) might not fit.
Strap aside, I think the watch looks fantastic. That grey sunburst dial is stunning, I loved the domed crystal and the size looks spot on.

The strap is long but the guy in the video does have tooth picks for arms
I think on a 7 incher it would look fine.
Not sure about the polished buckle but that is an extremely good looking watch in the YouTube video. Looks lovely.
I can't believe they are coming out early, hoping that is the same for UK deliveries.
It does look superb in the unboxing video.
The 19mm Uncle Seiko Tropic might be the best for it and it takes the stock spring bars.
11mm longer than the JB which should be ok. I find the Joseph Bonnie ones a bit short.
I have also ordered one of these.

Yup. Agree with others. Looks fab. Overpriced but fab.
Same guy has it on a sailcloth

Long lugs and a thin bezel. I'm hoping it will work on my 6.75 inch wrist.
