Thanks Guys! I haven't really applied for much at all as yet but I did get an email back about a vacancy as a driver for the Pilgrims' Hospice, collecting and delivering donations (furniture, clothes etc) and I would be quite keen to do something like that as I believe in their work. Yes it is, finally managed to get it back then sent it off for a service. It was running fine, but I was aware that it was at least 6 or 7 years since the last service and if I was going to keep it I want it in top condition. The guy who serviced it said it was as dry as a bone and the service was definitely needed.
So reference to the other thread here, just because a watch is keeping time doesn’t always mean everything is fine.
Glad to have it back on the wrist knowing that all is good.
Very nice, the alchemist 5512 is back home.
That's very nice. I do have a soft spot for these.

Sorry to hear that Tony, hope you are all OK.Still this, which survived my motorbike being totalled (and me being stretchered onto an ambulance) completely unscathed. Proper tool watch, clearly :)
I was knocked off my bike by a van last month, luckily wearing a helmet (could've been much worse) and got away with just stitches to my ear & some bruises/ cuts all over.
G Shock took a massive ding, (BB58 tucked away in the back pack)
