That looks awesome Sir. Do you have really slim wrists? I recently tried on my first CWC diver and thought it was far smaller than I expected.

I think they wear relatively small due to the lug to lug and the comparatively small dial. I have a 40mm diver that wears much bigger. They are perfect for me.

They do wear very well. Similar to a 5 Digit Submariner.

Perfect for any wrist except King Kong!

The all polished case isn’t to my tastes but I’m sure would look good with a few scuffs on it.

The bezel feels really nice to turn.

Im also really impressed with the clarity of the flat sapphire crystal, I dunno if they have improved it with this new batch, but the dial really pops.

Ah ok - it looks as though the the bezel markings are engraved. Looks great.

Yes the dial does look really clear. Lovely example.

I didn’t realise that these were now engraved bezels.
They make no mention of it in their online blurb.
    Really looks good.

Me neither (hence my earlier comment). Definitely takes it to another level.

I don't think the bezel insert is made from aluminium actually, it looks too matte.

Unfortunately that level is the man jewellery sector. No longer do they seem to be strapped on for sport, work etc etc and damn the torpedoes of scratching and scuffing in order to keep the "nice" watches nice - that's what mine has always been for. I suppose that's what Apeks are for nowadays.

Are we sure that this isn't a photo artifact. It looks very similar to my CWC diver which is 10 years. I can't see CWC spending money on a new bezel insert and not advertising it.

There seems to be definite change in bezel construction.
There seems to be a raised ring outside of the crystal and depth to the insert. It’s not like any of the CWC divers I own. There has obviously been an update.

Picked up a new CWC RN diver in polished steel with day/date

I’ll throw a spanner in the works by saying that my 2018 120 click RN diver which I bought from John Wall has the same bezel as the OPs. I would say the minute indices on the bezel are very lightly engraved. The bezel insert is inset. I owned a 2020 SBS for a while and the bezel insert was level with the bezel itself, and easier to scratch as a result.
I’ll try to get some decent photos tomorrow.

All is well thanks John, and same to you. CWC has barely left my wrist and has been in some interesting scrapes- quite literally. Strange conundrum with the bezel insert.

I hear what your saying Rob but it’s the shadow on the “engraved” indices and numbers that looks so much deeper on Andys

I concur with what John is saying.
I’ve not got a CWC that looks anything like that.
The one that Rob (BobbyF) had from me was if I remember correctly one that I’d only recently acquired and moved on.
I don’t remember it looking like the above, but I didn’t have it for long.

I remember us discussing at the time that it was I unusual for a 2018 RN diver to have a 120click bezel. I was at CWC last year and spoke to Mal about it. He seemed to remember having a limited run of MK1 RN Divers fitted with the new 120 click SBS bezels.
I had the SBS dial fitted not long after I bought it from you so I can keep track of what the date is when I work crazy hours.
The bezel does have the lightly engraved minute markers I mentioned earlier. I’m not sure what the inset is made out of, I always presumed it was just alloy with a thick coating of paint on it. With it being inset it is protected from being scratched.
The 2020 SBS had the same bezel however the bezel insert was level and more prone to scratches.

    That what threw me,
    You’ve had the dial changed👍🏽
I can also now see that it’s got the black bezel.

Don’t worry, I know the feeling.
Yes, it’s the same watch and only the dial has been changed.
2018 Matt cased RN diver with mineral glass and 120 click SBS bezel. And retro fitted SBS dial.

As someone - might have been Rev-O on MWR and I'm paraphrasing - so astutely put it, these are £30 watches. If there is a new bezel style it is based on price rather than aesthetics. I say this as someone who loves CWC divers, owns one and will probably buy more.

I fully agree. I suspect most of these small differences are down to parts coming from different production runs or different suppliers.
