Advice on visiting the Etihad Stadium please

I'm giving my daughter and mate a lift to a concert at the Etihad tomorrow, so there and back in the day. Can anyone give me tips / suggestions on where to park please? Doesn't have to be at the stadium but ideally on a tram link and not too many stops as it's already going to be a very late return home.

I've had a look and Velopark looks like a good option but is there parking there? There's also Ashton Moss, Ashton West and Parkway but again, am I likely to be able to park and are they lengthy journeys?

    Cheers.

I’m a season ticket holder and use the JustPark app. Tend to pay about £10 maybe little more. Usually get a driveway on Melcombe and can get a reasonably quick getaway. Or park ancoats side of Piccadilly and walk or get the tram. 20 to 25 min walk from Piccadilly max.

Am I right in thinking I can park near Piccadilly Station and get a tram for Ashton or Campus return?

The walk along the canal to the stadium is nice.

From the City Centre? They might walk there and tram back.

Yes, that what we do. Grab a nice pizza before heading out.

What was their experience like at the concert?

I went to see AM at the cricket ground Friday and I can safely say it’s the best “big venue” I’ve ever been to in the UK. Bar queue..well it was just a flowing line, drinks not badly priced (£6.60 a pint) and got on a tram without queuing to get back into town.

Sure when I last went to the Etihad for a gig it was rubbish, couldn’t get a drink etc.

Fantastic experience at the Etihad. What a great stadium! Queues to get in were managed well, moving around inside was easy, access to seats was brilliant and the best loos I’ve ever seen in a football stadium. Food and drink was reasonably priced and accessible. Honestly couldn’t fault it.
