Me too, why would anyone want a foreign-owned club dominated by foreign players to win instead of an English club?

    Oh hang on

Ah but to so many it is R, can´t you see that´s exactly what it is, meaning, identity, the chance of vicarious triumph, in an otherwise hum drum, banal, increasingly tough for many, existence. FOOTBALL! The biggest circus in town...at least the country has still got that.

    But that's what football is.
    It's tribalism.
If you don't have that then there are no rivalries.
Inter for me next Saturday .

I think it's quite easy to support Man City in the CL. The football they are playing is just fantastic, and they have a strong team ethic which is really admirable. They have a strong core of English players, a very likeable manager and overall the squad appear to be incredibly humble given the level of success they have achieved.

Also West Ham on Wednesday. Up the Irons! Nice bit of romance for Rice and the Czech boys, and Moyes worthy of a cup for all his graft over the years.

What a horrible guy. Absolutely no need for that shirt.

And given the way this "tribalism" escalates god knows what happens next.

As much as I love football, there are some absolute tools in the fan base.

The excuses coming from some of the fan base is equally disgusting .

Yup we have all spoken about it before. All clubs seem to have them sadly.

In bad taste + obviously unnecessary but was the slogan really likely to cause ‘harassment, alarm or distress’ - the offence apparently committed?

Actually I wanted Liverpool to win despite my disdain for some of their fanbase and their 'unique' attributes

    Thumbs up

    Well said Nick.

Passion for your club, or the game, simply cannot tainted by warped and sick individuals such as the guy in question here.

Agreed. The fine will probably be easy to deal with, but I wouldn’t like to be him.
