I believe you can delete a thread in settings/advanced settings.

What if all those who replied first deleted their responses (which sounds like members can do above a certain level)? [Which I realise I've just killed off for this experiment, Ooops!]

Anyone can delete their own replies. The kings of SC do it daily.

I've just deleted my original reply but that won't change what you've quoted.

You'd need an executive level forum moderator like Raffe to confirm re deleted replies to allow deleting a thread.

I actually replied to it myself and then deleted, but couldn't delete original post.

I remembered that the little hard drive that's been sat behind my iMac for 7 years gathering dust, is actually a "Time Machine" and I could recover the computer to its state at 9am this morning!

Finally, the Time machine has earned its colours!

(For those confused, I had a major iCloud error on my part which deleted every document and folder from my iMac and lost it in the cloud...)

Why delete, surely these problems and how they are sorted act as helpful information to others going forward.

I have two in my Mac mini, one for time machine and one for SuperDuper. Both back up but in different ways.

If that HD is 7 years old it wouldn't hurt to slap a new SSD one on the back if it's a spinning disk. They all fail eventually.

Yes, I have Time Machine going to a Sandisk external SSD, and Superduper to a Seagate HD.
