Well never thought we would get a point tonight. DCL took the pen so his goal drought is over, watch us go now🤣
I’ll take a 1-1 draw. Newcastle should have killed the game in the first half. At 1-0 the opposition only need one corner, free kick or penalty and that’s 2 points gone.
We have broken our run without a win that went back to 1957.

I’d like to see Branthwaite given a chance in the England squad . I know it’s a long shot but he’s playing with great confidence at the minute. Much better than the abomination that is Maguire.
Branthwaite and Van de Ven at Spurs are two brilliant centre halves . Great to watch .
Quite an exciting end to end game against Spurs last night. I guess a draw was a fair result.
Thank Gawd Moyes didn't bring on Jonah (Phillips).
Cheers,
Neil.
5 Arsenal changes, bit disrespectful to Luton.
Hope it blows up in his face.
This is the most interesting team I've seen Villa put out in a very long time. With Martinez out we're relying on his deputy, who has been very low on confidence when he's played previously. I can't even remember the last time he played for us. This could be an absolute horror show. The attack is pretty good fun mind you, with Duran and Rogers either going to be pretty decent or pick up cards but there is zero chance there aren't going to be goals, probably all in the away goal...
"A man of little significance"
Looking at the Arsenal and City sub benches clearly next Tue is in their minds. Funny how in interviews they say we are not thinking about that. The subs bench suggests otherwise.
Let’s see if Klopp puts the kids out tomorrow.
Heroic performance so far from Villa under the circumstances. No Bailey, Torres or Martinez on top of the players out I listed earlier.
Absolutely class. The wall was embarrassing though.
Luton the better side 2nd half, Arsenal coasting too much and it may backfire if Liverpool spank Sheff Utd tomorrow and eat into Arsenal's goal difference.
Phil Foden. Possibly the best left footer in the world. Watch Southgate waste him.
I think Villa did remarkably well to only end up losing that one 4-1.
"A man of little significance"
But not as many as Robbie Fowler, yet

Watching Liverpool vs Sheff Utd - I've noticed Liverpool fans singing the Arsenal song 'Allez, Allez, Allez'
Been a Liverpool song since 2018 Ryan. We copied the Allez allez allez off Napoli.

Chelsea have given so many cheap goals away this season. Unbelievable

Did the Sheffield United player get booked for assaulting Van Dijks hands with his throat ?
Disgraceful behaviour .
Chelsea Man U, that is what you call a game of fitba!
Phil Foden, "Hat trick last night, yep I've got the best left foot in the PL"
Cole Palmer, "Hold my beer..."

Right, off to grab a box of tissues and head off to Redcafe.
8 league goals via pens for Palmer this season is mental.

Transfer of the season is pushing it. It'll surely be Rice or Macallister - the latter certainly the bargain of the season.
Boehly has spent a billion quid to move above Bournemouth.
Amazing, especially given the others are playing in much much stronger teams.

Exactly. Imagine if he was still at City and Foden was at Chelsea.
No disrespect to PF, amazing player, but just cant see him carrying a struggling team in the same manner.
Very similar to Gerrard at LFC back in the day

"A man of little significance"
I struggle to say anything positive about the team Cole Palmer plays for and the fact he is single handedly making them a top half club disappoints me to the core.
he deserves so much credit for what he's done and comparison to Foden is pretty pointless; look around the comparable teammates and Foden has the platform to be brilliant; Palmer could have easily done what all his colleagues have done and spent the year impersonating a professional footballer. At this point Foden has also been playing first team football for longer and has been managed brilliantly by Pep with his integration over the years; Palmer just turned up at 21 without the pre-season and has run the show all season in his first real taste of regular FT footy.
both excellent and Foden probably the better player, but Palmer for 1. being brave enough to leave City and 2. carrying that shithow deserves lots of plaudits

Bit dramatic the praise for Palmer, hes clearly a good player but 12 goals this season have been pens.

Not sure where you get 12 from, thought it was 8 but fair enough if I've got it wrong.
Even so, some of those pens - you need some stones to put them away - huge pressure - e.g. last minute to level last night, and same earlier in the season v City, his old club of course.
If Raz hadn't taken the ball off him for another pen a few weeks back he would be joint top scorer with Haaland, I think, in the PL. Which is mind boggling really, above Salah, Watkins, et al....
He's 21, been at Chelsea 8 months and he's carrying a £1bn team almost on his own!
