    1963 Rolex Explorer bracelet question

This is a 1963 Explorer (father -> son watch) it has -what I think- a later type bracelet. What do you think/know?

And yes, it's in Monaco. Where my friend with his Explorer is blown away by wall-to-wall Richard Mille watches. Everybody wears them.

Looks later, what’s the clasp code number?

I'll ask. But it's busy in Monaco; no data connection at the moment.

I think it would originally have had a folded link bracelet, but it is really no great concern.

Much more interesting might be the dial…

Perhaps a 7206 folded links bracelet.

And if it fits might use on my 14060,also a mismatch.

I would just leave as is - that is an upgrade on the original bracelet

I think you're right. Besides, is the riveted bracelet as good as the one shown here?

EDIT: I hopped over to Chrono24. Those asking prices! I hadn't seen that coming. I was thinking Sub prices, but this...

Are you wanting to put the correct bracelet on the watch?.

first, it's not mine. And the owner might be interested but when the current set-up makes it more wearable, I'm sure that he'll keep it 'as is'. A search for the correct bracelet would end with the bracelet in the watch box, only to be installed for special occasions etc.
