    Goverment gateway 2 factor authentification

    Hello,

I am trying to add 2 factor authenticication to the goverment gateway account but the site is a mess.
No matter what i am clicking on i just cant find the page which has my settings on with my email etc where
    I can enter 2fa.

Has anyone else had any luck?

    thanks for your time
    Martin

My wife had this problem. If you haven’t used the Government Gateway in more than a certain period of time (I think one year or so) you have to call them to get it sorted.

Give them a call to sort it out and all will be golden.

Never had a problem, and probably one of the better websites

Have you tried using a different browser or device.

I use an iPad with chrome and sometimes the odd website doesn’t behave but when switching to safari all is ok.

Daughter’s account glitched some time back which meant she had to do anything via post, however she reckons they have changed the platform and was allowed to re register recently? Or it could be that they have just deleted any priblem accounts?

    thanks for the replies.
I seem to be not wording things clearly.

My own national insurance contributions etc come up fine so i must have saved my password and login for the web site.

What i cannot do is find my account details such as email address or password and the 2fa option.

    thanks

It’s in “Profile and Settings” then Sign in Details.

I'm consistently impressed by gov.uk. If there's one government IT project that had the potential to turn into a clusterf**k it was that, but it's actually amazing. Spain is a living nightmare in comparison.
