Isn't that just a Heuer Pasadena aka Le Jour aka Military aka <something else I can't remember>.
Still good being branded for the coolest marque on the planet (actually that's Bristol but Saab come close).
I found this rather small pic in a 80s Saab brochure. It looks like it has a Lemania 5100 movement inside. Or... Does anyone know more? I really would like to see a better pic!

A colleague of mine in the early '80s had one like this...it probably had a clock in it!
My boss had a black Saab Turbo with a "Whale Tail" spoiler back in the late 1980's when I was a newly employed graduate. He had played golf west of Peterborough at an industry sponsored event and had decided to take the train back to Norwich as he'd had rather too much to drink. I was tasked with taking the train to Peterborough the next day to bring it back to the office.
I couldn't start it (he didn't tell me how to start a Saab) and once I'd sorted it out I managed to do 200 miles!! had a blast, was swift
There are a couple of better pics here https://fr.saabblog.net/annonce/horloge-saab/

That watch would have gone well with the Saab convertible I had back in the day!!
When I was a young un, I had a paper round and the owner of the news agents had a white one just like the one in the picture.
He took me once to drop some stuff with a customer and was giving it some Welly. I remember being well impressed, it felt like a rocket ship! Looking back it had massive lag and then the usual 80's / 90's frantic on turbo boost..... Good fun but also lethal in the wrong hands.
I trained as a mechanic in a body shop so also did panel beating spraying. My dad has an accident repair centre as well and that's where my youth was spent during any holidays. Very fond memories of some of the hot hatches of the day.
It's funny looking back and recalling the relative simplicity of most cars back then and comparing that to most modern cars.
I digress, very fond memories of Saab turbos on full boost and sideways sierra cosworths :-)

I had several SAABs which were mid-90s onwards, but I also had an Audi 200 Turbo.
The turbo had two modes of behaviour; idle or full boost! It was hilarious!
I've always been competent at handling high performance cars, but even that caught me out once. Front wheel drive and lots of horsepower (it had been tuned), it yanked me toward a fence without warning and I only just caught it in time.
Great days. Cars are completely dull these days by comparison, just not exciting like they were back then.
