    Paris Roubaix...

They've just entered the Trouée d'Aremberg The worst stretch of the Paris Roubaix race. The tubes are giving up left and right! Flying off the rims! Big 'chute'. It's a mess! MvdP and WvA are leading together with 4 others. l'Enfer du Nord: The Northern Hell. A true name.

Interestingly: MvdP and WvA both ride with no gloves! Others have extra padding in the gloves. But not for those two.

I've cycled some of those cobbled sectors, never again!
    Btw. WvA wears mitts.

Saw those in sector 13...now at sector 11 and things seem to be kicking off.

The Carrefour de l'Arbre stretch (#3) was epic! And what a race after that, heading for the finish as we speak. A Flemish proverb says that you cannot curse on Easter Sunday. But it's difficult today...

I watched and enjoyed it all. Quite engrossing and a big shame for Degenkolb and Wout with his puncture. With the Femmes race yesterday it was a decent weekend of racing.

I watched both races this weekend. I think I preferred the women’s race finish. The men’s race ceased to be exciting when WVA punctured.
    Brilliant weekend of cycling though.

I have ridden those sectors, they are unimaginably awful on a road bike.

I ended up with blistered palms even with gloves.

They are truly impressive, it’s so difficult to ride those cobbles, so much worse than flanders cobbles.

Never mind punctures, did you see the rider whose front tyre had come off and his wheel looked to be square!
