Mostly aimed at TTC but others can reply, looking for ideas to do in Newcastle with the kids over easter, thinking of heading down for 4 days or so with 10 and 7 year olds.

If you’re at Alnwick, I’d head to Craster for the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle on the coast .
Seahouses is also worth a visit.
Newcastle is chock full of entertainment for the family. A stunning place to visit.
There used to be a great comedy club at The Sports Direct Arena but it’s closed down now and a football team has broken out .
Genuinely lolled, very clever
I live on that stretch of the Northumberland coastline and love it. I’d also recommend Bamburgh and its castle, they’re all on the same stretch of coast. Amazing place. Also:
Beamish Museum
Centre for Life
Seven Stories Books
Jesmond Dene
NUFC Stadium Tour
Discovery Museum
Durham city
Newcastle Quayside and Millennium Bridge
Loads of restaurants in the city centre
Open top bus tour
I’ll see if I can think of any more tomorrow.

Lindisfarne/Holy Island is worth a visit en route.
Head up on the Metro to Tynemouth and have food at Riley's.

The Angel. It's in Gateshead but the kids will love it. Very impressive up close.
