I believe this has been discussed several times and identified that it is easier to pump up the price of an item (from a particular vendor) to an impossible price, than to make it unavailable or delete details.

Same as ebay, it's just out of stock

Deleting a listing on ebay and relisting costs money and makes you appear further down the search results as you have no sales history on the new item

Thread title sounds like the kind of question Tory MPs get wrong in an attempt to convince the general public that they are men of the people.

Interesting. I genuinely didn’t know why they did this…

It happens quite often, H S Walsh do it all the time on eBay. Once an item is out of stock the price rises massively. I guess it's to put people off buying until thing's are back in stock.

    Sent from a technical device.

Don't people just simply shop elsewhere for whatever it is that HS Walsh sell (or don't sell depending on their stock levels) ?

Very kind of you, but it’s ok.
I can’t remember why I was looking in the first place. Think it’s because I have a new bracelet for a watch and the screws might need locking.

    Appreciate the offer though.
