I’ve been quoted £98 to send a parcel of paintings with Parcel Force. The insurance value is £2000. Has anyone got experience of using a parcel service to do this sort of thing for less money?
TIA

I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
I used TNT / FedEx to ship some artwork to the US a couple of years ago.
It was a decent sized box as they were original oils on canvas. Sorry I cannot recall exact dimensions. Estimate 1m x 1m x 200mm.
Carriage costs were £68.46 and Secursus Insurance was £8.00. Insured value was £1000.
It did take quite a while for delivery. In fact we were there when the box finally arrived. It had not been opened so I don’t really know what the delay was down to.

Maybe have a look at who local auction houses use?
Thanks for all your suggestions. My wife repackaged the paintings (they are hers). So that the box was small enough to be accepted by the post office. For £18 signed for, next day delivery and with the required insurance
