Help with changing the bracelet on this Oris please

I've had this Oris since 2009, and whilst perhaps a little dated in some respects I have always liked it.

The bracelet isn't my favourite and a bit chunky so I'd like to replace it with a strap of some sort, is this possible? I've struggled to remove it, in fact, I've given up. I can see the pins in the lugs, but they don't shift. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong and can you tell me how to remove the bracelet please?

Cant help with the removal but if you do manage it you will need a custom strap or modify one yourself to fit the case profile.

    Good luck
    Cheers,

    Ben

The pins will press or drive out to remove the bracelet, but I wouldn’t bother trying to swap it, the watchhead isn’t designed to take a strap and I think you have to accept the watch for what it is. A custom made strap would look like a bodge IMO.

Someone like Rich at Toshi Straps or Steveo could custom make you a leather strap to the exact dimensions you need.

There may be a rubber option for that, if you contact Oris.

If it's not had a service since 2009, you could always send it into the UK Oris service centre and they'd remove the bracelet for you at the same time.

Longstanding member Fitzer on here may be able to offer personal experience of removing this bracelet, he has (or had) a very wide Oris collection. I came across him on the FoOF (Oris forum) before I joined here.

Thanks everyone, very helpful! I'll contact Oris and see if there's a rubber strap option (good suggest stef!). If not, it can just stay as it is.

Chrontime are good to deal with.

Be careful removing the pins yourself, I tried once and got one half way out and couldn’t get it to move any further. I also couldn’t get it back in
