    2023 Rolex predictions

New platinum dial, potentially SkyDweller or anniversary Daytona?

    New YM, perhaps in Ti?

    Stone dial DateJust or Pearlmaster?

    New Explorer 1?

    New Cellini?

I’d like to see a bigger Explorer released again (alongside the 36) but I fear it would be in the OP41 case rather than another 39mm.

Good work Sir! First pic makes me think Day Date but it won't be. Exp1 pic is genuinely intriguing. Maybe an adition to the OP line?

I'd say almost definitely a titanium Yacht-Master on bracelet, like the Pelagos 39. A Daytona with ice blue dial in PM, there is a pic of what appears to be an Explorer I but how its any different is anyones guess. The gold GMT master too, yellow gold with 2 colour insert?

    The OP41 is 39.5mm.

They'll be expensive, they wont be available despite what 'your AD' tells you, you wont have purchased enough despite what 'your AD' tells you. last prediction? lots of huffing/puffing on the forum (BAU then)

Orangey looking dial most intriguing, maybe this year’s eagle eye equivalent.

Just see the trailer. It's definitely an Explorer. New dial colour maybe?

I’m going to bet on a new 39/39.5mm Exp 1 purely due to sod’s law as I bought a 39mm Exp 1 last week

Ti YM and new Exp 1 would be the most interesting for me personally.

The recently discontinued Cellini Time in white was the nicest of the Cellinis IMO (apart from the Moonphase) so it will be interesting to see if there is a new WG Cellini, hopefully with the updated AR.

Good to see that bevels are back but I think we mostly knew this already from the launch of the 50mm Deep Sea Challenger.

As seen on Tudor, of course. Not sure I’m a fan but many will be.

41mm Explorer. The Titanium is a Yacht Master.

Just looks a bit too thick to me. The end of the lugs in particular look more bullnosed like a challenge rather than a regular deepsea.

I’ll go with Cameron dial challenge to fill another niche.

It will be 41mm. Same case and bracelet as the Air King.

Or maybe they've gone Bioceramic (no reduction in price of course).

As to the guessing games, I couldn't give a sh1t - as won't be available anyway. [And that's coming from a fanboi who owns 10+).

What the hell does ‘DEFYING EXCELLENCE’ mean?

    defy
    /dɪˈfʌɪ/
    verb
    gerund or present participle: defying
    1.
openly resist or refuse to obey.
    "a woman who defies convention"

So, resisting excellence / refusing to be excellent? Did they perhaps mean ‘defining’?

I know this is a watch forum and the Watch Talk sub forum so if there's anywhere to talk watches, this is the place. Surely though it's only the super-wealthy and a handful of mere mortals who've spent ludicrous amounts of money with ADs that should be getting excited? No 'normal' person is getting one of these new models.

TTC, I doubt the super wealthy are going to be frothing over an Explorer 1

Not every Rolex comes with boners for 3x RRP or a price tag of 6 figures not starting with a one.

Sad but true. Nearly the 5th anniversary of me “expressing an interest in” the new GMTII BLRO (as an existing, if small time, customer). Heard diddly since (despite periodic visits).

But some of the fun has definitely gone. The ratio of desirable to obtainable has swung so much it’s hardly enjoyable anymore

I thought exactly the same, i.e. 'is that meant to be "defining"'? It's bizarre, as if someone read the slogan down the 'phone to the printer and it got misheard.

The countdown is on, looking at the trailer closely and some guesses:

    - Explorer 1 possibly on OF?
    - YM or Steel or Ti on bracelet
    - GMT: YG?
    - Daytona - definitely some sort of Daytona by looks of it (race track, etc.)
    - Day Date - new orange dial or whatever that colour is
    - Sky-Dweller - blue dial?
    - Cellini revision

    Over-priced applies to most these days - assuming you're tongue-in-cheek on the tat, given you own several. (o;

Would be nice if it was, the latest Airking has crown guards, which any watch marketed at intrepid explorers should have.

After a hiatus due to needing funds for other things I became a Rolex owner again recently. I get that the brand isn't high horology, the AD situation is beyond frustrating and any sub you care to mention is not worth double retail but tat they absolutely ain't.

I see the usual repetative negativity from the usual suspects.

It's a watch forum discussing the new releases of popular watches.

    No likey no looky.

I'm looking forward to W&W to see what all the brands are releasing this year.
