    Oscars 2023 watch spotting

‘Surprised’ (in a good way!) to see so many Omegas, Brendan’s speedmaster chronoscope looked awesome!

If that article doesn’t prove that money doesn’t buy good taste, then I don’t know what would.

    Oscars 2023 watch spotting

    Crocs at the Oscars, fantastic.

The Rolex green room looked sh1t - no pieces on display there either, from the looks of it.

Judging from the way they are holding their watches into the cameras, it is pretty save to assume that there was nobody who wasn't paid for wearing what they had on their wrists.

Most of those look really crap LOL.

Apart from Jay Ellis - that elegant Tank on him looks perfect. Most of the watches on display are too big for dress wear imo ...

I liked Hugh Grant’s replies to the model interviewing him.
    - He alluded to W. Thackeray, she understood the after party at the oscars
    - She asked him (what designer had supplied) what he was wearing, he answered ‘just my suit’.

And despite them being a ‘sponsor’ there weren’t that many wearing one

I find watch spotting and the choices people make with unlimited money interesting but I couldn't care less about what a brand ambassador wears.

That Tag on The Rock looks like a 5p piece with the size of his wrists.

That's what made the article interesting for me. You'd think that the kid from Temple of Doom would be wearing his own watch, but no it looks like Omega got to him.

Only a couple of them seemed to be wearing something not sponsored, but then maybe the people wearing their own watches didn't make it into the Hodinkee article?

I was surprised as he normally wears a Panerai - and he’s not a TAG ambassador as far as I’m aware. Nice to see he’s worn something that’s more affordable to the average watch enthusiast

He wears a Monaco from time to time as well I think. And he had a Carrera at one point I'm sure.

A lot of those omegas look brand new, like they've been paid to wear them.
Rock usually wears a root beer or panerai so thats weird!
Michelle Yeoh is a RM brand ambassador so no shock there.
