Bought my other half a Tudor Glamour for Christmas, and love the look of the sunburst silver dial.
Being fussy myself, I'd prefer no date 36-39mm and ideally a nice case shape (prefer the oyster style, but love the lyre lugs on Omega), 3 hander, automatic and applied indices.

The only configuration of a DateJust (new that) I like is white dial, roman numerals, oyster bracelet and smooth bezel, just lack of lume on the hands would put me off, & PCL - but understand these can be brushed.

I get you completely. I also struggle with my Monaco in certain lights. I think it's my eyes rather than the watches but it's annoying. I asked RSC about swapping the dial for a blue one but they won't do it until the warranty is up in 2 years time...
What about Eddie's PRS35? legibility issues should be obviated by the use of blued hand and indices

I think this is the most silver dial I have ever seen.
This has the name the 'Grey Ghost'. It has a very unusual sparkling grey dial.

Grey with a touch of greynes
I thought the Black Bay 36mm was meant to be quite slim. Reviews state it is only 10.4mm. Is this not right? If it is then how slim is the new S&G by comparison?
The BB36 is very much like the other BBs and is very slab sided. OK on the BB58 mind you.
From what I understand the S&G BBs have a thinner mid case & looks wise follow the Rolex Datejusts profile.

Ah I see, they do look a bit heavy in profile. I spent ages trying to settle on a silver face watch. after various different watches I am currently wearing a Nivada Antarctic Spider which I got on here. It is very nice and while I would recommend one, it has a date so doesn’t really meet your spec.

I like a silver dial too and this was how I bought my Rolex Datejust (16220) back in 2016.
The folks at Watchfinder obviously used a very bright light though because this is more how it looks in the real life

Thread resurrection for a new arrival! It’s very grey. I recently sold a Nomos club dunkel as I had another smartish black dial watch but
1. It was a great watch
2. I’ve always wanted a California dial
3. I wanted something colourful for the summer.
Despite being a grey watch, on a grey strap, this hits all the above notes! Not everyone’s cup of tea, and perhaps a bit feminine but I’m very pleased!

This has white dial but has very shiny big sliver hour markers and it sparkles nicely in sunglight. Looks very "silverish".
The various ranges issued by L.U. Chopard are worth a browse - no-one does minimalist elegance quite so well to my eye, and at relatively sane prices -

Further to my upthread mutterings about my rhodium dialled Datejust, I got fed up with it earlier in the month, took it into WoS & traded it for a Submariner.

It's probably the watch I should have bought in the first place to be honest. I loved the look of the Datejust (smooth bezel, Oyster bracelet) but got increasingly fed up with being unable to read the time easily in many light conditions.
I found the trade in process straightforward and the offer for the DJ was very good, £800 more than I'd paid for the DJ 4 years ago.
The Sub is amazing, looks good, feels great, goes with everything and, despite the fact that we shouldn't believe the hype, makes a tubby fifty-something feel like James Bond!

Many years a go I had the chance to buy the no date Sub maxi case, unfortunately overspent on the kitchen refit and couldn't get the extra cash. Price since have gone crazy and now harder to get. Looking back when I got into watches and had no mortgage or kids I wished I picked up a 14060 and be done with this hobby.
Back on point I managed to find an AD with the new Tudor BB36 light champagne, but only in 41mm & not my preferred 36mm, was hesitant on the dial colour and online it does seem to have a greensih hue, but in the flesh, it's exactly what I wanted & ticks all the boxes for me.
