Tour de France '24. "And now for something completely different!"

The final leg of the 2024 TdF is a 35 km time trial from Monaco to Nice. With nasty hills/moutains. The day before is a real killer-eteppe with 4 'cols'.

The 2024 Tour doesn't finish in Paris due to the Olympics going on there. In fact the whole route of the 24 Tour will be an interesting one, with a short visit to the Paris' region on July 14th, before the Olympics start.

I figured the Olympics would change things; I had hoped for a final mountain TT up Alp D'Huez or Ventoux ...

We like St Malo. I see a few days away in Northern France on the cards next July.

Have they announced the ‘24 route early? (It’s normally announced in October).

The only parts of the Tour 24 that have been officially announced are the start and the finish, hopefully it'll come by St Malo, quite fancy a few days there in July.

Stage 1 starts in San Gimignano which, as I remember it, is a picture postcard village in the Tuscan Hills (very touristy!), meaning that the stage will begin with a downhill run - unusual!

And the official announcements appear to conflict with much of the above:
