Duncan, The watch bloke has done good work on my autos, not sure if he does quartz though, maybe worth dropping him a PM. He is a member here.
Hi,
Which restorers would you recommend for a full service and a relume of a Seiko 7548 diver an a service (and a relume?) of my Seiko 7A28 RAF Gen 1 chrono?
Those vintage - and famous - quartz calibers should be able to run for another 30-40 years if properly serviced now. Although Seiko USA includes these calibers in their service price list (https://www.seikoserviceusa.com/pages/serviceprice/ - both movements are USD 170), a Seiko dealer in the Netherlands told me that they don't work on those classics here.
(I will ask https://seiko.nl/contact directly, though. And look for other European service centers.)
In the past - more than ten years ago - International Watch Works / Jack Alexyon did superb modding and reluming work for me, but they don't service Seiko movements.
I would ask on the Seiko & Citizen Watch Forum (TheWatchSite), but haven't logged in there in years and may have to create a new accont...
Please let me know who you would recommend and what their contact information is. Pictures of your watches and/or links to their work will help me decide! :-)
I'd prefer someone in the EU, but if it's possible to temporarily export my own watches without paying taxes etc I would of course be happy with someone in the UK - I know some of the best may be members of this forum.
Thanks in advance!

100% my first port of call for anything seiko related.
George Clarkson @ only vintage watches
Check out his YouTube channel. I have never used him personally but lots of posts on watchmakers/ repair forums and he is based in Germany I think. Maybe worth dropping him a email
All the best with the resto
If you need to export, the classification is 'Horological item for repair'.
