Thread: What state of repair are the roads in your area ?

  1. #51
Dorset, just bloody awful. High profile tyres and changed to non run flat. Despise the road surface in many places. Some counties in Wales have roads like a magic carpet and white lines. Coming back south from mid wales is like night and day.

I'm in NW Leics and the state of the assorted road surfaces around here has improved significantly over the last year. I'd say pretty good. Over the county border into Staffs, Warks or Derbyshire though, not so much. Often pretty poor.

Expect it to get worse over the coming years. The inflation figure on our Highway Maintenance contacts at work for 23/24 is 24% uplift!
