    Hello all.

It has been awhile since my last visit. I was doing the Darth Vader thing at the Intrepid yesterday and thought this might interest you guys.

This is from out changing areas window. The event was to crowded to get down there. Spent most of the time on the hanger deck.

Always brings back a bit of nostalgia and the fact is was an impressive bit of kit (and i count the Blackbird SR-71 in that also) both things of beauty/technology and ahead of their time...

When I first saw that thing in NY, next to the Intrepid, I thought: "Why isn't that in London?" And I still don't know.

Excellent view, and good to hear from you! I hope the (501st?) aren't keeping you too busy.
It's just a matter of time...

    Am with you there!

But also thought it looked like a model given the dimensions. An amazing piece of engineering.

Interesting to see where they're all located now:

I also could never understand why she is there. First she is the only UK aircraft and the only civilian one in the museum. Harrier doesn't count it was built in the US under license.

Seeing Enterprise again was a treat, it had been too long because of Covid closures.

Last weekend was my 525th event with the 501st (505 as Vader, 20 as a Staff Officer) over the last 12 years. We were affected by C19 or my numbers would be higher. The Intrepid was my first event in 2023, I should be about 5 by this time of the year.

When the museum got Enterprise on opening day yet had the local ST group there, we were there the next day and had three times the crowd and the staff said we were a better show.
