What Timefacotrs are in your collection?

Over the years via Eddies website, Sales Corner and eBay I have picked up quite a few:

PRS1, PRS2, PRS5, PRS6, PRS10, PRS12, PRS18Q, PRS21. PRS22, PRS22GMTQ, PRS25EXP, PRS45, PRS48, PRS52, PRS53, PRS57 and PRS82

They are the vast majority of my watch collection.

My favourite is either the PRS22 or the PRS53

I’ll put a group photo together at the weekend.

PRS5 - second hand ?
PRS 40 - second hand eBay
PRS40 chrono - new from TF
PRS18Q - new from TF
PRS 53 - new from TF

I have sold a PRS3 LE Blue on eBay and regret that one and traded a PRS48 for another watch I was after.

It does vary from time to time but I think the PRS53 is my favourite with the 14 a close run second.

The PRS22 and the 53 were bought back in the day before the 2.00pm Sunday scrums started.

The white text does seem to make it more balanced, but loses some of that character, not sure the payoff is worth it you know?

I much prefer the Everest text in white over the dark grey, as you say brings more balance & symmetry to the dial and gives a better overall look I feel but that's just my opinion. If I could change anything on the Everest line, it would be the crown as I think that it is too Hamilton like in appearance (too thick) and also an option for plexi (as with the Commando) as this really brings out the full dial visually.

Of course these are just my niggles, the Everest line are such fantastic pieces that's why I have three of them I guess.

Changing round external storage gave me the chance to put them all together.Shocked to find current tally is 13. I will have to change that (up or down we will see). I have more photographs of each watch and will post these over the next few days along with brief note of when and how often I have worn each one. The great thing about our host’s watches is there is a wide range catering for all situations.

After sitting on the fence about this one, I decided to go for it. After three weeks I managed to fill in my information quick enough to confirm an order. Glad I did! It's a really nice watch. I mostly have black dialed watches, but I love how with blued hands you can get contrast on a dream dial. Just excellent!

Will be trying to source a replacement bracelet, though. I stripped the clasp end link in my haste, live an learn.

I've had a few Timefactors watches though currently only own..

PRS-3LE (orange)

So why did I flip the others?

PRS-55 Yellow/blue bezel Caribbean, a watch I so wanted to own, fabulous bracelet, excellent case but the non dive bezel, a no no for me.

PRS-25EXP Lovely dial, great size 36mm, but 20mm lug width? Whenever I glanced at the watch I couldn't help thinking that 18mm would have worked better.

PRS-54 Trans-global (cream) lovely dial and bracelet 38mm great size and the 20mm lug width worked, but I'm not yet a ''dress watch'' bloke.

PRS-60 Commander, case size, lug width, drilled lugs excellent, dial and bezel just too blingy for me, just too much ''hey look at me'', wore it once down the pub but every-time I looked at it - ouch!

PRS-56 Mission Timer, fantastic, the right size and was even able to forgive the 22mm lug width, the ability to independently move the hour hand is magical but, why oh why did they hide the running seconds hand behind the chrono hand, swap the dial round in the case, have the pushers on the right and the running seconds at the bottom and I'll be first in the queue.

PRS-52 Baby Dreadnought (black) My wrist is around 21cm yet the size of the BD was perfect in every way, at the time I felt I had too many watches, within a week I had ''sellers regret'', - I'll probably have to buy another

PRS-18 Q COSC. The first Timefactors watch I bought, perfect size, drilled lugs but one that gave up the ghost after about three years, Paul Walker kindly supplied and fitted a new movement and I passed it on to Neil (best mate).

It's fun being a Timefactors fan, sure being picky there are watches that don't always work for me but the journey is interesting and as importantly - affordable.

I had a 29 AM but couldn't read the white dial or that would have stayed.

Yes it is well spotted.

They are firmer than a standard NATO and so hold the watch in a more bracelet like manner.

A bit stiff and short to tuck back but easy to trim the end and easy to heat a pin and make a hole for a good fit.

I think Cheapest as a shop name kind of devalues how good most of their straps are.

Though they had to stop using NATO after the name was patented (I still dont get how that was allowed).

On sale just now as well.

They're nice! Is the PRS 25, on the far right, the 40mm version? It looks to be a fair bit bigger than the others - or is it a trick of the lens/camera?
