I’ve been considering one myself and asked a similar question: i was pointed to www.swisswatchesdirect.co.uk
I haven’t pressed the button yet but that’s mainly because I haven’t decided on what to get :)
Evening all,
A friend is looking for a Breitling and has asked for my help. It’s a while since I’ve bought a new watch. It used to be that 20% was possible. What can I expect these days? Is there a recommended AD who is keen on pricing? Any advice appreciated.
Thanks….

Better to buy second hand if possible if residuals are a consideration. If your friend is buying a watch to keep - then probably swisswatchxxxx may be a good route.

AMJ Newark used to discount for TZ members, not sure if still the case.
Breitling is currently spending oodles of cash to be 'The Official Timing Partner' of the Six Nations Rugby Championship.
Does that make discounts more or less likely at this time?

Jim.
15% is about the max at AMJ at present. Little less on popular models.
But to echo Martyn, I have only ever had excellent service from them.

Thanks gents, the forum dealer sounds like they’ll be worth a call.
There are definitely discounts to be had although it depends very much on several factors.
1. The particular model and whether it’s a new release or one that has been running for a while or about to be discontinued and whether the AD had surplus sitting around in group stock.
2. If the AD hasn’t hit their target and is getting close to the end of the month
3. How good your negotiating skills are
4. Whether you have a good purchase history with them and are seen as a loyal customer
I’ve managed to secure some great discounts over the years as a number of the above factors have come into play at the same time
Having said all of the above, there are AD’s that will discount and some that point blank refuse to and its all about doing your research and finding those that will !!
