I'd like to know if there is a method for softening those rubber bands too although I have had a Sea Wolf Avenger that's a good few years old and it is still stiff so don't hold out much hope apart from swapping the strap!
I got myself a Breitling endurance pro a few days ago which is on a rubber strap. It's the strap with Breitling embossed on the outside of it. I find that the strap is quite thick and doesn't mould itself around my wrist, like a silicone strap would. So not very comfortable. Does the rubber soften with a bit of wear or is there a trick to making it more pliable? Or are there any alternatives available to try? TIA.

Cheers,

I can’t get on with the buckle versions of Breitling rubber straps. However, the alternative versions on deployant clasp cut to size are extremely comfy. A very expensive solution to your problem I’m afraid

I have a Breitling rubber strap that’s really soft buy the one I got for my Panerai is a used and has gone quite stiff so will definitely try this trick over the weekend.
I just bought a super flexible 22mm strap for my avantage from these guys.
Amazing inexpensive and really soft and comfortable.
I prefer it to the Breitling rubber I had on it previously and the buckle is so much easier than the Breitling.
No connection with the seller other than being a satisfied customer.
I have 2 Breitling rubber straps and have had no issues with them albeit they were from ‘used watches’ so I can only assume that they have softened with time and wear.
